Warehouse
William joined Carpet One in 2024 and he lays it down in the warehouse like it’s a 1963 Fender Jazz Bass (which he can slap like nobody’s business). If you need to listen to 1,000 records, laugh until your stomach hurts, or quote SNL skits, you're in luck - call Willie T.
Warehouse Manager
Stuey joined the Carpet Team in 2020 as our Warehouse Manager. If a piece of trash stays on the warehouse floor for more than 3 minutes, I’ll give you a nickel. Stu is loved by everyone, is a ridiculous jokester, and loves long walks in the woods. Actually, he hates those. If you need a good laugh, go see Stu but don’t stay for too long because he's got work to do.
Installation Manager
Caleb is the world’s greatest Installation Manager. He started in 2023 and everyone’s carpet life has been better ever since. Caleb keeps the install crews running seamlessly and happily as the salesmen continue making it rain. When not managing installations, Caleb loves old cars, making fun of us for wearing too much flannel, wise financial decisions, his church and his family.
Operations Manager
John Tucker, aka “Shag” (who had amazing hair in 2003 when I met him) started at Carpet One in 2020 and Manages our Operations. Everything with numbers, spreadsheets, details, decimals, systems and processes is his jam. John Tucker is a certifiable genius and if you ever get to know him well enough to see his hilariousness, you are a lucky and blessed man. When not thinking about tedious details, Shag loves slaying the guitar, writing songs, hanging out with his family, not going outside, and volunteering at his church. John Tucker rules.
Sales
Wes has always been. I think the store was built around him decades ago while he was writing quotes at a desk in a field. Selling flooring is his spiritual gift and he will make you believe that he actually enjoys it! Wes heads up our commercial department and his phone rings nonstop with people begging him to sell them flooring. When Wes isn’t selling flooring, he is thinking about selling flooring. If you need to know the density of a Milliken carpet tile from 1992, you don’t google it...you just ask Wes.
Admin
The life of the party, The queen of Spartanburg, Quiet: 2 of these are true. Caren runs our Admin department to make sure the money goes where it’s supposed to. She’s wicked smart, an amazingly fun human being, the mother to 4 incredible people, and has the coolest husband in the world. Caren is everyone’s best friend and lives life to the absolute fullest.
Sales
Since 2019, Brent has been the Bees Knees of residential flooring. Selling carpet has always been his life goal, I assume…I’ve never asked him. Brent built custom homes in the early 2000’s then became a Deputy with the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Department. He loves hiking, mountain biking, his family, cooking a mean smash burger, and dominating the sales charts. To know Brent is to love him but I REALLY want to see the footage of him getting tased during his police training.
Sales
The man, the myth, the...oh wait...just Taylor. Taylor started at Carpet One in 2020 as the Operations Manager and seriously crushed, then he moved to sales in 2023 where he has been setting records ever since. He may just be a flooring legend. Taylor is a ton of fun to be around, but he will somehow silently dare you do things on a mountain bike or in a kayak that you have NO BUSINESS doing. Everyone’s "Taylor Stories" are epic. When he isn’t crushing the carpet game, Taylor loves his family, being cooler than us, having beautiful hair, and spending quality time with friends and family.
Sales
Payton started with Carpet One during his senior year of SMC in 2023 and his mixture of hard work, good upbringing, brains, and determination are second to none in the Sales Department. Watching the growth and development of Payton has been super fun for this old, old man to experience. Customers love Payton and we need to stop treating him like our younger brother...but he deserves it. (Love you, PayPay.)
Business Development
Chris joined Carpet One in 2024 as our Business Development Manager. You don’t have to read his bio because you definitely already know him, since he is friends with every single person on the planet. If you need to talk to someone, ask Chris: he has their number in his phone, which he never uses to text…just phone calls all day. We all want to be just like C.O. when we grow up, who doesn’t?? Chris is a world-renowned competition BBQ smoker, built his cabin with his bare hands, is a scratch golfer, changes the oil in his car himself, and is the nicest man that you’ve ever met.
Owner
Josh bought Carpet One in 2018, after working as a salesman for 6 years. You know when Josh arrives at work because he sings nonstop. His energy and enthusiasm can’t be stopped, even when you wish it could. His ridiculous, random, positive mentality effects everything we do at Carpet One Spartanburg. If you don't hear 3 songs and 2 Happy Gilmore quotes when around him, he must not have gotten his 10 hours of sleep the night before. Every day is the best day of Josh’s life. Oh yeah, he loves his family, is average at his hobbies, and tries to wear less flannel because Caleb’s “jokes” sting. Writing the bios for this webpage has been one of the highlights of his life.
